Noel’s acupuncturist, now teaching colleague, Dr. William Nat Clearfield, D.O (USA), inspired her to pursue academic study of this ancient healing art. Her extensive clinical practice includes working in an integrative medical setting co-treating with physiatrists (physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors), neurologists, massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, Reiki practitioners, naturopathic doctors and psychotherapists . This work inspired her to combine successful treatment tools in her acupuncture style, “Acupuncture Physical Medicine" Acupuncture Physical Medicine blends Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Japanese acupuncture and Hara (abdominal) diagnosis with a “hands-on” approach to treating acute and chronic injuries and maladies. In addition to her private practice, Noel teaches in the Asian Medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, the acupuncture program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and in the Medical Radiation Sciences dept. at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences and at The Institute of Traditional Medicine. She is the author of Acupuncture Physical Medicine Course (approved for 14 PDA's by the NCCAOM) and frequently lectures and teaches in both Canada and the United States. Her most recent achievements include principal acupuncturist in a research project studying fatigue in patients with Multiple Sclerosis with Mt. Sinai & St. Michael's hospital and the University of Toronto. Noel has published articles in Hospital News, Your Health Source and Acupuncture Today.
